Extellis' proprietary technology unlocks reliable satellite imagery at an industrial scale.

Reliable Satellite Imagery

Extellis captures synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images that can see at night, through clouds, and at all times-of-day. Further, significantly improved uptime means that you never have to worry about being bumped or deprioritized by other customers.

Industrial Scale

While other technologies capture 100s of images per day, we capture 10,000. The ability to combine wide-area scanning and high-volume collections unlocks new uses for satellite imagery, while offering unprecedented, accessible economics.

The Antenna

Extellis’ patented metasurface antenna technology was developed over a decade of research in Prof. David Smith's lab at Duke University. A total of $3.3M of non-dilutive funding has supported its development, including a $2.3M program from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

The Satellite

Our satellites were not designed with an, "if you build it, they will come," mindset. Leveraging a mature space industry, off-the-shelf components, and low-cost satellite launches, our satellites are purpose-built to solve unmet customer needs.

The first and only metasurface antenna designed specifically for satellite imaging.
